My Apple Watch Series 9 Review: A Workout Companion with Room for Improvement

For someone like me who works out at least four times a week for 30 minutes or more, the Apple Watch is an excellent choice. It's been invaluable in tracking my workout activities and reminding me to get up when I've been stationary for too long. The daily progress reminders are a nice touch and keep me motivated to stay active.

Beyond just tracking my physical activity, my daily workouts have become a vital outlet for dealing with my anger and raw emotions after losing a loved one. The Apple Watch has been instrumental in this regard, helping me clear my mind and improve my mental health.

However, there are some drawbacks to consider. One of the main issues I've encountered is the limited selection of watch faces. It would be a pleasure to see more options available in future Apple Watch iterations.

Additionally, the battery life leaves something to be desired. I need to charge the watch almost every day, which can be a hassle. Plus, the watch seems prone to getting banged against things, which has led to some wear and tear on the case.

In terms of alternatives, the Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness Smartwatch is worth considering, especially if the Apple Watch is out of your budget. It offers similar features like Bluetooth, GPS, and health tracking, with the added bonus of longer battery life.

As for the Apple Watch case, I opted for the Kawoco waterproof case after a recommendation from a friend. While the cases provide full coverage and come in a pack of four (two black and two clear), I've noticed some issues with the black case. After intense workouts, paint residue chips off, which is disappointing. If you're active like me, I'd recommend sticking with the clear case option to avoid this issue.

Overall, the Apple Watch Series 9 is a solid choice for workout enthusiasts and anyone looking to track their fitness goals. However, there are some areas for improvement, particularly in battery life and case durability. With that said, I'm hopeful that future updates will address these concerns and make the Apple Watch even better.
