My Experience with MY Normal Keto Allulose: A Journey to Healthy Sweets

Sweets have always been my thing. As a kid, I loved anything sweet – sugar cubes, candy, cakes, ice cream – you name it. It's funny, I never reached a limit, even after massive sugar binges. But as the years passed, I realized how sugar affectedmy face and overall health. When I weaned myself off sugar, my face cleared up significantly. Looking back, I consider myself lucky. Just three years after I gave up sugar, I was diagnosed with cancer. I'm convinced that continued sugar consumption could have worsened my condition. Thankfully, I'm now cancer-free and mostly sugar-free, though I indulge in chocolate occasionally.

Chocolate is one of my favorite things. Whenever I'm on my period, chocolate beckons me. However, I eat it in moderation now. Interestingly, when you stop consuming sweets, your palate changes dramatically. Nowadays, my mouth tastes bitter within a minute of consuming cane sugar. I’ve shifted to eating natural sugars found in fruits, but since fruit can be expensive, I’m always looking for alternatives.

My journey led me to explore keto sweeteners after watching a YouTube video. I discovered a sugar replacement made with Stevia and Monk fruit, boasting 0g of net carbs. It's called My Normal Keto Allulose. This sweetener has become my go-to, especially when I get tired of bananas or can't afford fruit due to high prices.

When I use My Normal on pancakes or baked goods, it delivers sweetness I crave. However, there's still an aftertaste that I notice. My palate, now attuned to artificial objects, picks it up immediately. It's both a blessing and a curse. The days of eating pies and ice cream without aftertaste are gone. Even a simple food sample at Costco can set it off instantly.

Despite these challenges, I’ve found a balance that works for me. My Normal Keto Allulose allows me to enjoy sweet treats without traditional sugar's negative health impacts. It's a small but significant part of maintaining my health, especially after my cancer diagnosis. While I miss the simplicity of consuming sweets without repercussions, I’m grateful for the healthy path I’m on now. And who knows? Maybe one day, my palate will adjust to these tasty sweeteners, and I’ll enjoy them just as much as my childhood favorites. Until then, I’ll continue experimenting and finding joy in healthieralternatives.
